Growth Champions Challenge
Help Grow the NAPAHE Community.
October 2026 - February 2027
The NAPAHE Growth Champions Challenge is a member-powered initiative designed to expand awareness of NAPAHE, welcome new professionals into our community, and strengthen the network of colleagues who support higher education's senior leaders.
Throughout the challenge, members can earn points, unlock recognition levels, and compete for special awards by sharing their NAPAHE story, referring new members, enhancing NAPAHE's visibility, and helping grow the association. Top participants will be recognized during the 2027 NAPAHE Annual Conference.

Why Participate?
Many of us first learned about NAPAHE because a colleague invited us to attend a conference, participate in a program, or explore membership. The Growth Champions Challenge is an opportunity to pay that experience forward.
Together, we'll:
- Increase awareness of NAPAHE
- Expand our reach to new institutions and states
- Welcome new members into the profession's leading network
- Strengthen our community ahead of the Annual Conference
- Celebrate members who help NAPAHE grow and thrive
These goals support the campaign's focus on expanding awareness, increasing institutional representation, and generating new engagement leading into the Annual Conference.
How it Works
Members earn points by participating in campaign activities throughout the year. Activities include:
- Sharing your NAPAHE story on social media
- Leaving a review of your NAPAHE experience
- Submitting a member testimonial
- Referring new members through NAPAHE's referral system
- Participating in special bonus challenges
- Expanding membership participation at your institution
The more points you earn, the higher your recognition level.

Before we ask members to recruit others, we're asking you to help tell the NAPAHE story. During October, members can earn points by completing any of the following activities:

Submit a Testimonial
Share your experience with NAPAHE by submitting a short member testimonial. We'll use selected testimonials in future membership and marketing materials.
Maximum Phase 1 Points Available
Phase 2: Expand NAPAHE's Network
November & December 2026
This fall, the challenge shifts to member referrals.
The goal of this phase is to grow NAPAHE’s membership base through member-driven referrals. Members will use the built-in Refer a Colleague feature in NAPAHE’s membership platform. Referrals must be from a different institution, must create a new/unique membership, cannot be a previous or returning member, and cannot join the recruiter’s own membership group.
1 successful referral = 10 points to the leaderboard
Qualifying Referrals
A referral counts when:
- A current NAPAHE member shares their unique referral link to invite a prospect.
- The prospective member joins NAPAHE during the campaign period.
- The new member is employed at a different institution than the referring member.
- The new member is not added to the referring member's existing group membership.
- The referred member establishes a new individual membership or a new group membership (group joins will be recognized by the number of individuals joining)
Non-Qualifying Referrals
A referral does not count if:
- Current members renewing membership.
- Former members rejoining the association.
- Individuals from the referring member's institution.
- Individuals joining under the referring member's group membership.
- The referral is a duplicate or someone else already referred/invited the prospect.

Phase 3: Grow Together
January 2027
As we kick off a new calendar year, the final phase of the Growth Champions Challenge will focus on sharing NAPAHE with colleagues at your own institution. We'll have a special promotion opportunity to upgrade your membership at a reduced cost in order to invite a colleague to join your existing membership roster.
Successful roster additions will earn bonus points to count toward the leaderboard listings.
Additional details will be released this winter.
